Erzbergrodeo: Touratech Racing Again among the Top Ten!

He finished as the best rider on a four-stroke bike, the best Husqvarna pilot and the best German competitor: With his tenth place at the hardest Red Bull Hare Scramble of all times, Gerhard Forster has again proven his world-class status in extreme enduro riding.

All leading riders in the world had come together for the hardest single day race in the world, united by one single goal: to conquer the Iron Giant in Austria. As heavy rainfalls had made the already very hard course almost unridable, only nine out of 500 riders who had qualified for the Red Bull Hare Scramble made it to the finish within the four hours time limit.

On the high performing Touratech Husqvarna TE 449 Gerhard Forster followed only a few minutes behind in tenth place, leaving behind top riders like two times Roof of Africa winner Darryl Curtis (14th place), several times Dakar winner Cyril Despres (15) or British top rider Graham Jarvis (21), who has dominated this year's extreme enduro events so far. Actually, Jarvis had been the first over the finishing line, but had left out a checkpoint and therefore was put down 20 places by the stewards.

Before the eyes of 35,000 spectators Taddy Blazusiak (Poland) took the win for the fifth time in a row. Touratech rider Jens ter Jung finished his very first Erzbergrodeo in 42 place - a remarkable result among 1700 riders from 37 different nation!
